You will need:
Crochet hook: 3 mm/D
Garn: Hobbii Rainbow 8/4 or similar fingering yarn
Clip and pacifier holder (rubber ring).
Measuring tape, scissor and needle.
Make one chain on your needle and insert it into the clip’s hole. Make 5 single crochet through the hole. Make one chain to turn.

The band is made with five different stitches in every row, but from the front you only crochet in the back loop, and from the back you only crochet in the front loop. This will create the lines in the pattern at the front.
Repeat these stitches every row (US terms):
1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double treble crochet. Chain one to turn.
The first row is made by going into both loops of the stitch, but after this one you alternate between front loop and back loop every row depending on which side you are on as stated.
Remember: from the front you are crocheting only in the back loop, and on the back you are only crocheting in the front loop.
Crochet until the band measures up to 22 cm (8,7 inches). Do not make it longer than this as it can be dangerous for small children by choking hazard. You should also pull a bit on it as you measure as it is stretchy because of the long stitches.
Make one last round (either in the front loop or back loop, depending on which side you are on) with these stitches:
3 single crochet and 2 half double crochet.
Pull a long end through the last stitch and use it to fasten the rubber ring (pacifier holder) with. Fold the edge down over the ring and sew it in place on the back side. Makse sure to secure it well. Fasten the end from the beginning too.

And your pacifier holder is done! These use very little yarn and is a good way to make a small gift from scrap yarn.
